I know that I have been showing only paintings that I have done but now for something different. This is a sculpture I did a while ago which remained in the form of a plaster mold. My husband helped me cast it in the cold cast bronze method last year. I put it in a show called "Lens Free" at the Wickford Art Association Gallery and it has just sold. I am thrilled!
This was started last summer painting plein air at Fort Wetherill on Jamestown Island, Rhode Island. It is looking at Castle Rock Lighthouse in Newport in the distance. Finished April 21, 20016 a cool breezy day.
It is a 14" x 11" oil painting on a panel.
